A helping hand
Pushka support.
Questions about your donation, receipt or giving settings? We’re here to help.
admin@torahshelaima.orgThe app link requires Pushka to be installed on your iPhone. This page does not make a donation or change your account.
Payment not confirmed?
Do not repeat an uncertain donation. It may already have reached the payment provider. Check Donation history in the app, then contact us with the existing transaction or payment reference. A pending or unknown result is not the same as a decline.
A receipt is missing
- Check that Donation history shows the donation as approved. A pledged pushka balance is not a completed payment.
- Check the receipt email in Payment & emptying. Apple Pay uses the email selected in Wallet, which may differ from your sign-in email. Check spam or junk folders and, if relevant, whether Apple private-relay forwarding is enabled.
- Email us with the donation date, amount and existing reference. Do not make another donation just to obtain a receipt. Approval or an email “accepted” status does not guarantee inbox delivery.
Stop or change automatic giving
Open the app’s Payment & emptying settings, then Emptying schedule. To turn future automatic giving off, choose Stop automatic giving and confirm it. Wait for the service-confirmed result; selecting a draft option or simply closing the screen does not change the saved rule.
A payment already processing or unconfirmed may still finish. Stopping a future schedule does not cancel, reverse or refund that payment. If a change is unconfirmed, do not assume automatic giving is off—contact us if you cannot confirm Stop.
Signing out, deleting the app or turning notifications off does not stop a saved automatic-giving authorization.
Which giving options work?
Manual emptying supports Apple Pay and an eligible saved regular credit or debit card. Monthly and Rosh Chodesh automatic giving use a saved regular card, your explicit consent and a receipt email. You can authorize collection of the full pushka balance or add an optional safety limit.
Any limit you previously approved remains in place until you explicitly authorize a change in the app. If your balance exceeds a chosen safety limit, it is not partially collected; review the limit or empty manually. Bank and payment-provider limits still apply. Apple Pay remains manual-only, and amount-triggered automatic emptying is not currently available.
The Donors’ Fund
The separate Giving Card option is for manual emptying only and is available when shown in checkout. If you do not see it, use one of the existing payment methods. Enter your Giving Card details only in its form, never in email. For each confirmed grant, the number and fresh CVV go directly to Torah Shelaima’s dedicated Cloudflare service and The Donors’ Fund, not through this website. The service does not save or log those details.
In the updated app, open Payment & emptying → Donors’ Fund cards to unlock, add, replace or remove card numbers saved only on that iPhone. Saving is optional and requires device authentication and a device passcode. These numbers are not synced to iCloud or our account database. Select a saved number at checkout, enter its CVV again, and confirm that one grant. No CVV is saved, and saving a number neither makes a donation nor enables automatic giving.
Rosh Chodesh is a reminder, not an automatic Donors’ Fund charge. Choose the Donors’ Fund reminder in the updated app to receive a notification when your pushka has a positive synced balance. Open Pushka, enter the CVV and confirm each grant yourself. Notifications and a confirmed location/calendar are required; reminders respect your local Shabbos and Yom Tov quiet times. Changing a reminder does not stop an existing regular-card automatic schedule. Stop automatic giving separately and wait for its confirmation before relying on reminder-only giving.
If a grant result is uncertain, do not submit it again or pay by another method. Keep its reference and contact us. An approved grant produces a grant confirmation, not a second charitable tax receipt; final disbursement is separate from approval.
Delete your account or get privacy help
In the updated iPhone app, open Your Pushka, then Account → Delete account. Review the explanation and confirm with the same Apple account. Service-confirmed deletion stops future automatic giving; it never charges the remaining pledged balance. If a payment or payment-provider cleanup is still pending, use Check deletion status. Do not start another donation to resolve it.
Necessary financial and security records may be retained. Device-only reminder and sound preferences remain on your iPhone. The app tells you if Apple sign-in access also needs to be removed manually. Read the privacy notice for details.
For access, correction, an older test build or a deletion that needs review, email us. Include a safe way to identify your account and the question you need help with. Never email a full card number, security code, password, API secret, deletion-status secret or one-time verification code.
